Course content:
Pedagogy: The concept and subject of pedagogy, basic pedagogical categories. The emergence of pedagogy as a science. The system of pedagogical scientific disciplines and their characteristics. The process of education. Goals and principles of education. Exogenous and endogenous factors of education. Relationship between exogenous and endogenous factors. Pupil in the educational process. Teacher in the educational process. Teaching competencies and pedagogical profession. School and its functions. The school system of the Slovak Republic. Characteristics of the current state and basic starting points of changes in the school system of the Slovak Republic. Humanization of education and training. Traditional and contemporary conception of components of education. Methods of education. The essence and theoretical foundations of the teaching process.
