 Doktorand musí ku dňu obhajoby dizertačnej práce mať publikovanú aspoň jednu štúdiu s viac ako 50 % autorským podielom v periodickej alebo neperiodickej publikácii registrovanej v databáze Web of Science alebo SCOPUS a aspoň dva ďalšie vlastné autorské príspevky (nepostačujú recenzie) vo vedeckej (preukázateľne recenzovanej) periodickej alebo neperiodickej publikácii. Vo výnimočnom prípade môže byť na základe odporúčania garanta doktorandského štúdia akceptované aj potvrdenie redakcie, resp. editora alebo vydavateľa periodickej alebo neperiodickej publikácie registrovanej v databáze Web of Science alebo SCOPUS o prijatí štúdie na publikovanie.
