 KPS/PKC/25 Publikácia v karentovanom časopise: ku dňu obhajoby dizertačnej práce je povinné mať aspoň jednu publikáciu, aspoň s 40% autorským podielom v časopise registrovanom v databázach WoS alebo SCOPUS (štúdia, ktorá ešte nebola zaradená do konkrétneho čísla časopisu, ale bola redakciou časopisu s konečnou platnosťou akceptovaná, môže byť splnením tejto podmienky v prípade, ak doktorand/ka hodnoverne preukáže je akceptáciu redakciou, napr. prostredníctvom komunikácie s redakciou či jej publikovaním spôsobom „online first“).
 KPS/PNC/25 Publikácia v nekarentovanom časopise: ku dňu obhajoby dizertačnej práce je povinné mať aspoň jednu publikáciu vo vedeckom (preukázateľne recenzovanom) časopise alebo zborníku. Pri uplatňovaní tohto pravidla platí, že ďalšia publikácia z "vyššej kategórie" môže nahradiť nižšie hodnotenú publikáciu.
