Project title: Global and Local in postmillennial anglophone literatures, cultures and media

Project summary:

The project aims at creating intersections between the theoretical writings on globalization, the theoretical writings on identity and recent theories of the new post-postmodern cultural paradigm. This theoretical basis is used to study the tension between the discourse of globalization and the identity discourse reflected in the representations of the global and the local in postmillennial Anglophone cultural production.

Project title: Innovative trends in the analysis of selected aspects of British history and culture with an emphasis on the 21st and end of the 20th century

Implementation period: 01/2022 - 12/2023

Project summary:

The project aims to contribute to a broadening of the understanding to those who focus their research on selected aspects of British history and culture, such as British political institutions (government, political parties, social movements or other) and British social institutions (family, migration) with an emphasis on the period after 1960 to the present. The aim of the presented project is to examine the availability of relevant primary and secondary resources in selected aspects; critically analyze and critically evaluate the usability of available primary and secondary resources in selected aspects; compare available resources in relation to the selected issues; summarize the knowledge gained and produce two review studies, serving mainly young researchers to orient themselves in the field of research of the British history and culture in selected aspects.
