Selected projects

Registration Number:projekt Horizon 2020_ENLIVEN Encouraging Lifelong Learning for an Inclusive and Vibrant Europe

Project solution period: 2016-2019

Position in the project: investigator

Annotation: The ENLIVEN research models how policy interventions in adult education markets can become more effective. Integrating state-of-the-art methodologies and theorisations (for example, Case-Based Reasoning methodology in artificial intelligence, bounded agency in adult learning), it implements and evaluates an innovative Intelligent Decision Support System to provide a new and more scientific underpinning for policy debate and decision-making on adult learning, especially for young adults. It utilises findings from research conducted by European and international agencies and research projects, as well as from the ENLIVEN project. It will enable policy-makers at European Union, national and organizational levels to enhance the provision and take-up of learning opportunities for adults, leading to a more productive and innovative workforce, and reduced social exclusion.

Project title: Risk assessment in individuals' decisions about personal and corporate / business finances and business opportunities.

Project solution period: 2017-2020

Position in the project: principal investigator

Annotation: Individuals' decisions about personal and corporate finances take place in conditions of risk and great uncertainty, such as the choice of pension scheme, life savings investment or investment in a new business and others, and these are serious financial decisions that have a very strong impact on the future of the individual. as well as his family members. However, many individuals make sub-optimal decisions, leading to large personal / family / corporate financial losses. There are several causes of failure, and one of them is a different individual perception / risk assessment. Therefore, the aim of the project is to examine the psychological factors and variables (personal, cognitive and socio-demographic) that affect risk assessment in financial decision-making.

Project title: BEHAVIOURAL ASPECTS OF COVID-19: MAPPING THE COVID-RELATED BEHAVIOURS AND PSYCHOLOGICAL, SOCIAL, AND ECONOMIC CONSEQUENCES OF THE PANDEMIC

Project solution period:07/2021 - 06/2021

Position in the project: investigator

Annotation: Today and in the future, the COVID-19 pandemic requires fundamental changes in human behavior and places a significant burden on daily life. Knowledge from behavioral sciences is thus of particular importance to epidemiologists, public health professionals, legislators, or other competent authorities, and allows them to make decisions to combat the current situation, but also the consequences of a pandemic, which have an empirical (evidence-based) basis. Unfortunately, the true value of this information is often underestimated. Only a relatively small part of the research tries to map the behavior associated with COVID-19 and the consequences of the pandemic so that the outputs are pragmatic and at the same time as generalizable as possible. The lack of comprehensive, representative data on this issue makes it difficult to create and implement regulations based on empirical evidence or to create reliable forecasting models. The aim of the proposed project is therefore to (1) examine the explicit behaviors associated with the pandemic and their psychological / sociological correlates and thus reveal the structure of actual compliance with the rules and recommendations; (2) to examine trends and longer-term developments in the areas of mental health, social relations, (subjectively perceived) economic situation and overall quality of life at the time (after the end of the COVID-19 pandemic). The main goal of this project is to provide the general public as well as state administration bodies with a set of valid, comprehensive and representative behavioral data and the resulting reports and recommendations. This can significantly help increase the effectiveness of pandemic management and its consequences, as well as the development of better prepared crisis prevention strategies and crisis management strategies, respectively. Full adherence to open science procedures - that is, the free availability of all project materials, data and outputs, guarantees the importance and sustainability of this project even after the current COVID-19 crisis
