He was born in Bardejov, where he graduated from the Leonard Stöckel Grammar School in 2009. After completing his secondary education, he enrolled at the Faculty of Arts and the Faculty of Science of Pavol Jozef Šafárik University in Košice. In 2012, he completed his interdisciplinary bachelor’s studies in Geography – Slovak Language and Literature by defending his bachelor’s thesis Prosodic Phenomena in Eastern Slovak Dialects under the supervision of PhDr. Iveta Bónová, PhD. In 2014, he defended his diploma thesis The Current State of Dialect Use in Dlhá Lúka under the supervision of Assoc. Prof. Marianna Sedláková, PhD., within the study programme 1.1.1 Teaching of Academic Subjects: Slovak Language and Literature – Geography. In the same year, he began his doctoral studies at the Faculty of Arts of the University of Prešov, specializing in Slovak Language and Literature (study programme Slovak Language) with a focus on dialectology and the history of language. He completed the programme in 2019 by defending his dissertation Case Syncretism in Eastern Slovak Dialects under the supervision of Prof. Júlia Dudášová, DrSc. In 2017, he defended his rigorous thesis The North Šariš Archaic Enclave Named Hažlín, written under the supervision of PhDr. Peter Karpinský, PhD., also at the Faculty of Arts of the University of Prešov. In the 2017/2018 academic year, he worked as a lecturer of Slovak at the Institute of Ukrainian Studies of the Faculty of Arts of the University of Prešov. In the following academic year (2018/2019), he worked as a secondary school teacher at a grammar school in Košice. After completing his doctoral studies, he took up the position of lecturer in Slovak language and culture at Comenius University in Bratislava, where he remained employed until 2021. He continued in the same role at the University of Economics in Bratislava from 2021 to 2022. From 2023 to 2024, he worked as a research associate in the Ľudovít Štúr Linguistics Institute of the Slovak Academy of Sciences, Department of Dialectology, contributing as a co‑researcher on a grant project and as a collaborator on the Dictionary of Slovak Dialects IV. Since 2024, he has been employed as an assistant professor at the Department of Slovak Studies, Slavic Philologies and Communication of the Faculty of Arts at Pavol Jozef Šafárik University in Košice, focusing on diachronic linguistics.
