Lívia Barnišinová is a graduate of interdisciplinary studies and teaching of academic subjects at the Faculty of Arts (FA) of UPJŠ in Košice in a combination of Slovak language and literature and philosophy. She has been researching and pedagogically focusing on teaching the Slovak language for specific purposes (Slovak as a foreign language) since 2014. She provides courses: Slovak Language 1, 2, 3, 4 for general medicine. She has many years of experience in creating teaching materials. In addition to the Slovak language, she also focuses on literary science, especially on the literature of realism and Slovak literary modernism. She actively participates in scientific events in Slovakia and abroad and participates in the popularization activities of the Language Training Centre, FA UPJŠ in Košice. She has been a member of CASAJC Committee - Czech and Slovak Association of Language Centres since 2020.

Slovak Research and Development Agency 19 - 0244 Project title: Methodological Procedures in Literary-Scholarship Research with an Impact on the Media Environment Project start/end: 7/2020-6/2024 Position in the project: participant Annotation: This four-year project is focused on the functional use of methodological procedures in an interdisciplinary oriented literary-scholarship research.
