Brief project description: The aim of the project is to experimentally verify the effectiveness of simulation strategies (microteaching and microteaching analysis) in developing the reflective competences of student teachers. At the application level, the project will develop a research-validated methodology for using simulation strategies in the practical professional training of pre-service teachers and will reconsider the reflective nature of their professional training by introducing simulation strategies into teacher-training study programmes. The methodology should be usable in both face-to-face and distance online teaching, where student teachers will have a framework for analysing their outputs that stimulates their reflective activities.

Brief project description: The main aim of the project is to create collections of formative assessment tools for selected social science and humanities subjects (Slovak language, English language, German language and history); to digitally process databases of formative assessment tools for all subjects as part of the existing digital library; to use the digital library in teaching science subjects, selected social science and humanities subjects, and mathematics at primary and lower secondary school; and to determine its impact on the development of conceptual understanding, pupils' self-reflective competences, and the opinions and attitudes of teachers, pupils and parents towards formative assessment. Pedagogical research will be carried out to verify the effectiveness of the digital library, and its results may be used in the planned changes to the primary and lower secondary education curriculum.

The handbook will be intended for UPJŠ student teachers taking the compulsory elective course Classroom Management offered by the Faculty of Arts, for all UPJŠ student teachers as potential class teachers, and, not least, for practising class teachers.

The project seeks to define the scope and content of a portfolio of practical experiences acquired by a teacher-training graduate during teaching practice and to implement the portfolio as part of innovations in final teaching practice. It will also create supporting educational materials for teaching staff at partner schools, focused on implementing innovative teaching strategies and methods in the educational process at those schools.
