Mgr. Zuzana Tokárová, PhD. is an assistant professor at the Department of History, Faculty of Arts, UPJŠ in Košice. Her research focuses on the political history of Slovakia in the first half of the 20th century. She primarily researches the theoretical aspects of the non-democratic regime in Slovakia in the years 1939–1945, the issue of municipal elites, and the history of the Holocaust. She is the author of the monograph Slovenský štát: Režim medzi teóriou a politickou praxou [Slovak State: The Regime between Theory and Political Practice] and several academic works. She is a co-investigator of domestic and international grant projects. The results of her research are applied in pedagogical activities. Since 2022, she has been a member of the Academic Senate of the Faculty of Arts of UPJŠ in Košice.
