PhDr. Darina Koreňová, PhD. (FVS UPJŠ v Košiciach) works as an assistant professor at the Department of Economics and Management of Public Administration at the Faculty of Public Administration of the Pavol Jozef Šafárik University in Košice. She has finished her doctoral studies at the Pavol Jozef Šafárik University in Košice in the branch of study 3.1.7. Public Policy and Public Administration. In 2015, she successfully defended her dissertation thesis on the topic “Business Process Management in Public Administration”. Her scientific work is focused on the research of process management in public administration and process modeling as a tool of process management. The aim of the research is to optimize the processes of organizations in public administration with the intention of achieving higher efficiency in their activities. Her publications also focus on the issue of public finances in Slovakia. Her pedagogical activities include teaching of the following subjects: Process Management in Public Administration, Management in Public Administration and Public Finance. So far she has published about 50 publications, of which several publications were indexed in various prestigious scientific databases. Many of her publications have been cited (22 citations are registered in Web of Sciences, or Scopus database). She has cooperated on several successful scientific research projects and grants as a co-investigator.
