VEGA č. 1/0595/21: Title of the project: "Public administration interventions at the time of COVID-19 and their impact on the quality of life of citizens of selected communitie." Project length: 2021 - 2023, PRINCIPAL INVESTIGATATOR. The project summary: The aim of the project is to analyze public administration interventions during the COVID - 19 pandemic (or a similar pandemic that may occur in the future. In the following text we will talk about COVID - 19.) and its impact on quality of life of selected communities such as seniors and low-income citizens. According to the current situation, the selection of the given communities is intentional and the aim is to present, on the basis of the analysis, specific measures that are contextualized by social policy priorities at various levels such as state, regional, municipal and are implemented by various entities in public administration. |

VEGA č. 1/0302/18: Title of the project: "Smart cities as a possibility to implementation the concept of sustainable urban development in the Slovak Republic." Project length: 2018-2020, scientific collaborators. The project summary: The concept of sustainable development speaks about how economic growth that covers the needs of society, by creating the conditions of well-being in the short, medium, but especially long term. The concept built on the premise that development must meet today's needs without endangering the possibilities of continued growth for future generations. Against the background of economic and technological changes caused by globalization and integration process, the city must face the challenges in Europe, which combine elements of competitiveness and sustainable urban development at the same time. This problem affects the issue of quality of life in the city with an emphasis on issues such as housing, urban economics, culture, social and environmental conditions affecting the competitiveness of life in individual cities, not excluding the towns in the SR. The basic aim the project will be scientific analysis of smart cities factors influencing the number of changes in selected Slovak cities. |

VEGA 1/0764/24: Title of the project: "Environmental attitudes, pro-environmental behaviour and its promotion." Project Lenght: 2024-2026, deputy head of the project. The project summary: In the context of the Green Transition, people need to feel a personal responsibility to act to limit climate change. The aim of the project is to explore environmental attitudes and pro-environmental behavior and to increase pro-environmental behavior in the workplace using behavioral interventions. The project will focus on the analysis of environmental factors with respect to selected demographic characteristics, psychological characteristics and politics. In relation to this, the researchers will study how organizations in the public and private sectors promote pro-environmental behavior in the work environment, both from an organizational and employee perspective.

VEGA č.1/0698/25: Title of the project: "Development fee as a tool for the development of municipalities and towns in the Slovak Republic" Project Length: 2025 - 2028, scientific collaborators. The project summary: The basic research project with interdisciplinary overlap is focused on examining the development fee institute, which was introduced in the Slovak Republic in 2016 and which supplemented the system of local taxes and fees and thus strengthened the municipalities' own sources of financing. The research team intends to follow up on previous partial research results with the aim of a broader (legal-economic-social) assessment of the significance of this fee (with demonstrably growing potential) for municipalities at the national level, but especially at the individual level (significance for specific municipalities) and the methods of its use as a dedicated resource intended exclusively for financing legally defined public benefit investment activities contributing to the development of municipalities (based on an analysis of revenues from the fee at the individual level of municipalities and specific methods of their use by applying mathematical-statistical methods) in the context of increasing the level of fulfillment of related functions (providing defined services) by municipalities. |

VEGA 1/0055/22: Title of the project: ,,The importance of smart technologies in the process of mitigating the economic and socio-psychological impacts of the COVID-19 pandemic on the quality of life of population." Project Length:2022-2024, scientific collaborators. The project summary: The COVID-19 pandemic has brought on a global scale a number of problems, including legal, economic, social and other, related to peoples´ lives and the functionality of states, what presents new challenges they have not yet encountered to a similar extent and, if so, have addressed them in part. The aim of the research is to evaluate the current situation of the population of the Slovak Republic and the possibilities of implementing intelligent technologies based on scientific methods, in order to minimize the economic and socio-psychological impacts of the Covid-19 pandemic on the quality of life of the population. One of the ways to minimize the negative impact of social isolation is the use of smart technologies. The application of smart technologies and smart solutions into the lives of citizens is currently one of the fundamental interests of the states of the European Union as well as the United Nations. This is one way to ensure sustainability and quality of life. |
