Dr.h.c. prof. Ing. Pavel Nečas, PhD., MBA. during his rich professional career, he gained experience in various positions in the training and educational institutions of the Air Force of the Armed Forces of the Slovak Republic (SR) and in the sectors of military research and development, on the basis of which in 1999 he became the head of the program Training and Simulation Systems in the Armed Forces of the Slovak Republic. Thanks to his extensive knowledge in the areas of combat operations planning, C4ISR system designs and planning of forms and methods of training and education, he participated to a major extent in the conception, projection and implementation of the Centers of Simulation Technologies. In 2004, he was selected for the position of a research fellow at the NATO Defense College in the Research Fellowship program in Rome. After completing his scientific research, he was appointed to the position of military advisor for international organizations at the Department of Defense Policy and International Relations at the Ministry of Defense of the Slovak Republic. He subsequently worked for six years as a faculty advisor and later as the director of the Department of Educational Planning at the NATO Defense College in Rome. After completing his foreign assignment, he acted at the Armed Forces Academy in Liptovský Mikuláš as vice-rector for science and rector. After retiring as a reserve with the rank of colonel of the General Staff, he held the position of state councilor at the Ministry of Defense of the Slovak Republic - defense advisor to the Permanent Representation of the Slovak Republic to the European Union in Brussels. Since 2015, he has worked as vice-rector and rector at the College of Security Management in Košice. Prof. Pavel Nečas is a graduate of the Air Force University in Alabama, USA, holds the academic rank of engineer in the field of Command Automation and Electronic Computers, a doctorate and associate professorship in the field of Operational and Tactical Air Campaign Planning, is a professor in the field of National and International Security and an honorary doctor. Prof. Pavel Nečas is the author of numerous scientific monographs, university textbooks, scripts, studies and scientific articles in the field of political science, international relations and security and defense studies. He has participated in solving many national and international scientific projects as a responsible researcher or co-researcher and is a member of important scientific and professional institutions in Slovakia and in NATO and EU member states. He currently works as a professor at the Department of Public Law Disciplines of the Faculty of Public Administration of the Pavol Jozef Šafárik University in Košice. Prof. Pavel Nečas is the expert guarantor of the postgraduate study programs Doctor of Business Administration and Master of Science at the Institute of Education, Counseling and Informatization.
