RNDr. Annamária Bardelčíková, PhD. has graduated in Microbiology at the Faculty of Natural Sciences of Comenius University in Bratislava with honours. At the turn of 2015 - 2016 she worked at the Department of Mitochondrial Physiology, Institute of Physiology, Academy of Sciences of the Czech Republic. In 2016 she was graduated with a PhD degree in Microbiology. In 2017-2018, she worked as a researcher at the private company ImunaPharm, a.s. in Šarišské Michaľany. She started working at the Associated Tissue Bank of the Faculty of Medicine of UPJŠ and LP UH in Košice in 2018. Since 2019, she has been working at the Institute of Pharmacology, Faculty of Medicine, UPJŠ as a researcher. She specializes in mitochondrial physiology, which she has been working on for several years. Scientific focus is on the influence of bioactive substances on tumor cell physiology with emphasis on mitochondria. In his research she uses techniques of mitochondria isolation, isolation of respiratory complexes (BN-PAGE, CN-PAGE, hrCNE-PAGE) and methods of the activities determination of these complexes. In collaboration with the Institute of Physiology of the CAS in Prague, Department of Mitochondrial Physiology, she investigates the effect of bioactive substances on tumor cell respiration, also in relation to mitochondrial morphology.

International collaboration
The collaboration with the Institute of Physiology of the Academy of Sciences in Prague, Department of Mitochondrial Physiology started in 2015, where she successfully completed her internship. The cooperation with the Faculty of Medicine of UPJŠ continues since 2021, mainly thanks to the Erasmus+ project.
Hobbies
Her hobbies are basketball, swimming, skiing, rafting, traveling, singing and painting. She has two children, to whom she dedicates free time and leads them to an active lifestyle.
