Elena Hatalová, DVM, PhD. is a researcher at the Department of Epidemiology. Her research is focused on the diagnostic of etiologic agents of infectious diseases, mainly on the identification and subtyping of intestinal protozoans by molecular methods. She participates on research grants VEGA and APVV (as a principal investigator and co-investigator). Within pedagogical activities, she is currently a supervisor to three students in Všeobecné lekárstvo and General Medicine. She participates on teaching of the subjects at the department, in Slovak and English.
