MVDr. Emília Hijová, PhD works as a researcher with scientific qualification level IIa in the Center for Clinical and Preclinical Research (MEDIPARK) - Department of Experimental Medicine, Faculty of Medicine, UPJŠ in Košice. She is a specialist in Normal and Pathological Physiology. As a researcher, she focuses on the use of probiotic microorganisms and substances of natural origin in the prevention and therapy of diseases. She solves the problem of changes in selected parameters of the digestive tract during the metabolic process. She was the supervisor of 4 diploma theses and the supervisor-specialist of 1 doctoral student. He participates in solving several research projects (AV, VEGA, APVV, SF EU). She is the author or co-author of more than 295 original scientific and professional papers (27 CC, WoS or Scopus) published in domestic and foreign journals and monographs, which have been cited more than 690 times in the WoS and Scopus citation indexes (HI-13).
