MUDr. Ingrid Urbančíková, PhD., MPH works at the Department of Epidemiology, Faculty of Medicine, Pavol Jozef Šafarik University in Košice as an Associate Professor. She also works at the Department of Children and Adolescents in Children´s Faculty Hospital in Košice as a Assistant Professor. Since 1992, she has been working in the Department of Pediatric Infectious Diseases in the Children's Faculty Hospital, currently at the Vaccination Center for Children with Post-Vaccination Complications and Contraindications to Vaccination. She graduated with a specialisation in pediatrics and infectology. In 2010, she received a Master of Public Health degree and in 2014 a PhD degree in Public Health. Between 2006 ˗ 2010 and 2012 ˗ 2020 she worked as the director of the Children's Faculty Hospital in Košice. Her scientific and clinical interest diagnosis, treatment and prevention of infectious diseases, especially the issue of vaccination in special situations, focusing on specific procedures, indications, contraindications and safety of vaccination. She is a member of the European Society for Pediatric Infectious Diseases (ESPID), a member of the Central European Vaccination Awareness Group (CEVAG), a member of the Slovak Society of Infectious Diseases, a member of the Slovak Epidemiological and Vaccinological Society, a member of the Immunization Working Group of the Slovak Pediatric Society, a member of the Vaccination Working Group and a member of the editorial board of the journal Vaccination and Travel Medicine.
