doc. MUDr. Ivan Dóci, PhD. is an associate professor of psychiatry and since 2005 the head of II. Psychiatric Clinic at the UPJS Medical Faculty in Košice. He guarantees a psychiatry program in the field of study of general medicine and dentistry. He attended a one-year graduate degree in Baltimore, USA, at Johns Hopkins University in Baltimore under the Hubert Humphrey program. In the years 2008 - 2017 he was the main expert of the Ministry of Health of the Slovak Republic for the Department of Psychiatry, currently he is a regional expert of the Ministry of Health of the Slovak Republic for psychiatry for the Kosice region. He worked for a long time in the committee of the Slovak Psychiatric Society, he was a member of the Scientific Board of the University of Trnava. He is a co-publisher and member of the editorial board of the professional journal Psychiatry - psychosomatics - psychotherapy. In the field of scientific research, he has in the past dealt mainly with the issue of addiction, especially the comorbidity of schizophrenia and the abuse of psychotropic substances. He is the author, resp. co-author of more than 120 scientific and professional works.
