Selected projects

With support of the grant KEGA 019UPJŠ-4/2016 (project manager : Iveta Domoráková), the grant investigators prepared new textbooks:

  1. Domoráková at al. (2018): Microscopic Anatomy for Dental Medicine Students – Selected Chapters - Textbook. pp. 1-294. - ISBN 9788081526718.
  2. Domoráková et al. (2019): Selected Chapters of Histology for Dental medicine students – e-learning textbook and colour atlas.  ISBN 9788081527210; https://unibook.upjs.sk/sk/lekarska-fakulta/

Those study materials are aimed to pregradual and postgradual dental medicine students and focused to microscopic structure of head and neck region, and detailed study material of microscopic structure and development of teeth.

The grant VEGA 1/0439/17 - Induction of ischemic tolerance in the rabbit spinal cord by remote perconditioning and postconditioning: study of endogenous protection mechanisms (Indukcia ischemickej tolerancie v mieche králika vzdialeným perkondicionovaním a postkondicionovaním: štúdium mechanizmov endogénnej ochrany).

Deputy project manager: Iveta Domoráková, 2017-2019.

Annotation: The grant solved the methods of acquisition of neuroprotection after ischemia/perconditioning/postconditioning in the rabbit spinal cord. Study of possible mechanisms (antioxidant enzymes, heat shock protein, neuroglia)
