RNDr. Jana Janockova, PhD. graduated at Faculty of Science, P. J. Safarik University in Košice, in the field of Biochemistry (PhD. 2015). After graduating, she worked as a researcher at the Biomedical Research Centre, University Hospital in Hradec Kralove (Czech Republic) in the laboratory of biochemistry and tissue cultures, where she was focused on in vitro analysis of biochemical and pharmacological activities of newly prepared substances as well as cell line production (tumor and non-tumor), which are then used in the cytotoxic evaluation of new series of drugs in order to reveal their toxic structural motifs. She was mainly involved in the development of new drug candidates for Alzheimer's disease, narcolepsy / insomnia, disinfectants and antidotes to organophosphate pesticide poisoning. She has been involved in leading and teaching undergraduate and postgraduate students as an Assistant Professor at the Department of Chemistry, University of Hradec Kralove. Scientific experience abroad: University of Coimbra, Portugal; Alma Mater Studiorum University of Bologna, Italy; University of Oviedo, Spain. Currently, she works as a researcher at the Associated Tissue Bank, Faculty of Medicine, UPJŠ in Kosice, where she specializes in the field of mesenchymal stem cells research and the production of extracellular vesicles and related mechanisms of bone and joint regeneration. In 2021, she obtained a scientific qualification IIa by the SAV commission. She participates in solving of projects APVV, VEGA, OPENMED. In the past, she participated in the solution of foreign projects 5x GAČR, 2x AZV and the international project Laser-Lab Europe. She is the author and co-author of 43 impacted publications (9 of them as the first author). Her works have been cited more than 594 times (WoS, April 2022, excluding self-citations) and her H-index is 14.
