Mgr. Jana Schrötter, PhD. is an assistant professor at the 1st Department of Psychiatry of the Faculty of Medicine, UPJŠ in Košice. She is teaching courses related to psychology and medical communication. In addition, she is also engaged in scientific research focusing on stress, anxiety and depression. Since the beginning of the pandemic, she has also been studying the psychological and behavioral aspects of COVID-19. She was the head of the Slovak team of the international collaborative study COVIDiSTRESS.. Her publications include papers in the journal Nature Human Behavior or Nature Scientific Data. In the past, she worked as an assistant professor at the Faculty of Arts, where she focused on psychodiagnostics and developmental disorders. She has been also working as a counsellor for children with developmental disorders.
