Since 2018, a university teacher - assistant professor in the position of Deputy Head for Education at the Department of Medical Biology, Faculty of Medicine, UPJŠ in Košice (UPJŠ FM DMB). In the period 2013-2018 he was employed as a research specialist and before (2005-2013) as a researcher at UPJŠ FM DMB. In 2013, he was awarded the Scientific Qualification Level IIa by the Slovak Academy of Sciences. Until July 2011, he worked as an expert in the SF EU OP VaV project (Network of centres of excellence for oncology, ITMS Project Code: 26220120024). He is the author or co-author of 33 scientific and professional publications indexed in WoS/Scopus, which have more than 500 WoS/Scopus citations. He is also a first author or co-author and editor of 5 academic textbooks and 3 textbooks, and a co-author of sample questions from biology for entrance exams for UPJŠ FM.
