Prof. MUDr. Ladislav Mirossay, DrSc. is professor of medical phamacology. During his carrier at the Faculty of Medicine UPJŠ in Košice he also held the office of head of Department of Pharmacology, vice-dean, dean and rector of the UPJŠ in Košice. He is a guarrantee of PhD study programme of medical phamacology in study branch Pharmacy. He was a tutor of 8 successfully graduated PhD students study programmes pharmacology and medical phamacology. His research interest concentrates in a topic of anticancer effect of drugs and possibilities to identify tumor markers for successful anticancer treatment. In the frame of these topics he participates in several research projects. As an author or co-author he disposes of 431 records of different research and scientific publications (89 in CC, WoS or Scopus) published in national and international journals. These works were cited in citation indexes WoS/Scopus 1563 times. He is also an author or co-author of seven books of pharmacology for the students of faculties of medicine and pharmacy and 1 chapter in a monography. He completed several study stages and fellowships in Paris in total duration of 2 years and 14 day stay in Gröningen at „Summer course on problem-based pharmaco-therapy teaching“ organized by WHO.
