Marcela Linkova, DVM, PhD has been a university teacher at the PJ Safarik University in Kosice, Faculty of Medicine since 2003. In 2003-2008 she was teaching at the Department of Pathological Physiology in the study program on General Medicine and Public Health. Since 2009 she has been working at the Department of Social and Behavioural Medicine and involved in teaching courses for General Medicine, Public Health, and Physiotherapy. Within the courses on Social Medicine, Health Education, and Health Protection, she deals with the issues of social and health care for people with severe disabilities, chronic diseases, and the impact of lifestyle determinants on population health. In her dissertation thesis, she focused on the quality of life of patients with diabetes mellitus.
