MUDr. Martin Ihnatko, PhD., is an Assistant Professor at the 1st Department of Internal Medicine, Faculty of Medicine, Pavol Jozef Šafárik University in Košice and Louis Pasteur University Hospital in Košice. He graduated in General Medicine in 2013, obtaining his MUDr. degree. In 2018, he passed the specialization examination in Internal Medicine, and in 2024, he completed his doctoral studies in Internal Diseases, obtaining his PhD degree. In 2025, he passed the specialization examination in Cardiology. His clinical and teaching activities focus on internal medicine and cardiology. His research primarily focuses on atrial fibrillation, with particular emphasis on the prognostic significance of humoral biomarkers. He is a member of the Slovak Society of Internal Medicine, the Slovak Society of Cardiology, and the Czech Society of Cardiology.
