Doc. MUDr. Martina Čižmáriková, PhD. is an associate professor in the field of Pharmacology since 2019, currently in the position of Deputy Head for Education at the Department of Pharmacology at Faculty of Medicine of Pavol Jozef Šafárik University in Košice. She also serves as a member of the commission for state examinations in the field of Diploma Thesis and Diploma Thesis Defence in General Medicine Study Programme and as a member of the commission for the state exams in the field of Pediatrics in General Medicine Study Programme. She is the author or co-author of three textbooks of pharmacology for students of medicine and pharmacy. In her scientific work, she has so far focused on pharmacogenetics and an impact of chemical compounds on membrane transporters responsible for drug resistance. She has successfully participated in solving VEGA projects, projects of the Ministry of Health of Slovak Republic and VVGS UPJŠ projects. She is the author or co-author of original scientific and professional papers published in foreign and domestic journals, which have been cited more than 100 times in WoS/Scopus citation indexes. She was the supervisor of nine successfully defended diploma theses and the supervisor-consultant of one successfully defended dissertation thesis. Since 2021 she has been a member of the Board of Medical Pharmacology Study Programme for the third degree of higher education and a member of the Board of Habilitation Procedure and Inaugural Procedure of Pharmacy Study Field.
