Doc. MUDr.Martina Vidová Uğurbaş, PhD., MPH is associate professor at the Department of Plastic, Reconstruction ane Aesthetic Surgery / II. Surgery Clinik, Faculty of Medicine UPJŠ and UN L. After graduation in UPJŠ LF Košice she worked as an PhD. student at the 1st Surgical Clinic, Faculty of Medicine UPJŠ and UNLP. After successfully passing her dissertation defense in 2015, she was awarded a PhD title, and continued to work at the Department of Plastic, Reconstruction and Aesthetic Surgery. She became certified specialist in field of surgery in 2017 and also in field plastic, reconstructive and aesthetic surgery in 2024. In 2018 she successfully completed her studies in the specialization field of Public Health Management Specialist, Master of Public Health. After a successful habilitation, she was awarded the scientific-pedagogical title of associate professor. She performs pedagogical activities, conducts lectures and practical exercises for students of general and dental medicine in Slovak and English languages. She is a supervisor and opponent of several diploma theses, also she is a member of the teaching staff of the examination commission for specialized examinations in the field of surgery. She is the author and co-author of scientific and professional publications published in domestic and foreign journals. Also she is author of textbooks, books and monographs.
