Since 2014, he has been working as an independent researcher at the Department of Medical & Clinical Biophysics, Faculty of Medicine, UPJŠ in Košice, Slovakia. His scientific interests include: (i.) Application of advanced biological sample preparation methods for the "shotgun" proteomic analysis with LC-MS/MS detection, (ii.) The use of modern ion trap-based mass spectrometry approaches for clinical proteomics, and (iii.) Bioinformatic evaluation of comparative proteome analysis of different cohorts. The currents topics of his clinical research are: (a.) Differential proteomic analysis of white blood cells isolated from peripheral blood of breast cancer patients, and (b.) State-of-the-art approaches for subtyping breast carcinomas at the protein biomarker analysis level. He is author/co-author of 36 original research papers/reviews. As of 2026, total WOS citations = 1245x, in 945 peer-reviewed publications, H-Index = 20. https://www.webofscience.com/wos/author/record/MVU-3433-2025
