doc. RNDr. Miroslava Rabajdová., PhD. works as an associate professor at the Department of Medical and Clinical Biochemistry, UPJŠ in Košice, Faculty of Medicine. After completing his university studies at the Faculty of Medicine of the University of Bratislava in the study program Laboratory Investigation Methods in Healthcare (2009) and successfully defending his rigorous thesis, he received the title of RNDr. The title of PhD. was awarded to him after successfully defending his dissertation in the study program Clinical Biochemistry at the Faculty of Medicine of the University of Prague in 2013. He completed a study stay at the Laboratory of Tumor Cell Biology, at the Institute of Biochemistry and Experimental Oncology, at the 1st Faculty of Medicine of the University of Prague in Prague (2012) and in 2015. Faculty of Medicine. In 2016, he received the title - Young Oncologist of Slovakia in the category under 35 years of age. He habilitated in the study program Laboratory Investigation Methods in Healthcare at the Technical University of Trnava (2018). She has seen more than 18 successfully defended diploma theses (more Final theses), as a consultant she has supervised two successfully defended dissertations and is currently the supervisor of 5 doctoral students, three of whom have passed the minimum exam (for details see the Doctoral Students section). She is the author or co-author of more than 65 original scientific papers registered in the CC, WoS or Scopus databases, textbooks, monographs and university scripts. Her works have been cited more than 465 times (WoS/Scopus, HI 12/65 original papers). She has participated in the solution of VEGA, EPA, FEBS, APVV projects as a principal investigator and co-investigator. A complete overview is on the workplace website in the Research section. The principal investigator has received several awards at both the domestic and international levels. In 2021, he received the "Innovation of Slovakia 2021" award in the biomedical project "MicroRNA test of the success of the in vitro fertilization (IVF) process and diagnostics of a quality embryo for the IVF process". Her scientific and research activities were awarded by the European Society for Laboratory Medicine - EFLM Bursary for Young Students - 22nd IFCC-EFLM (2017). In 2016, at the Young Oncologists of Slovakia competition, he won 1st place in the category of scientific and research worker under 35 years of age. Since 2024, she has been a member of the Scientific Council of the Ministry of Health of the Slovak Republic, as well as a member of the Government Council for Science, Technology and Innovation of the Slovak Republic. In January 2025, she was appointed as a national expert in the "Health" program committee, within the EU Framework Program for Research and Innovation for 2021-2027 "Horizon Europe". Awards

2021: Innovation of Slovakia 2021 - winner in the category "the biomedical project": MicroRNA test of success of the in vitro fertilization (IVF) process and diagnostics of a quality embryo for the IVF process. The project VEGA 1/0620/19 was key to innovation.
2017: Was awarded research activity by the European Society for Laboratory Medicine - EFLM Bursary for Young Students - 22rd IFCC-EFLM (2017) as the only one from Slovakia among young scientists from all over Europe. The award was presented during an introductory lecture at the EFLM European Congress, which took place in Athens in May 2017.
2016: Competition of young oncologists of Slovakia - won 1st place in the category of researcher under 35 years of age.
