Pavol Mikula, PhD is a researcher at the Department of Social and Behavioral Medicine. His main research interests are behavioral correlates and quality of life in patients with multiple sclerosis. Currently, another of his professional interests is research in the field of non-substance addiction, especially in connection with modern technologies. He participates in the teaching courses of Social Medicine, Behavioral Medicine, Statistics and Demography, and Diploma Seminar 3. He is also the supervisor of several diploma theses (8 defendes, 3 in progress). He was the principal investigator of the project VEGA: Behavioural and social factors, coping strategies and quality of life in patients with multiple sclerosis (MS). He is the first author of 8 indexed articles, and co-author of 9 indexed artiles. His h-index is currently 9.
