Associate Professor Silvia Toporcerová is a recognized figure in the field of reproductive medicine. She works as associate professpr at the Clinic of obstetrics and gynaecology and as medical director in the Centre of reproductive medicine Gyncare. She has been practicing reproductive medicine for more than 20 years. After graduating from university, she joined the II. Clinic of Gynecology and Obstetrics at the Faculty of Medicine at UPJŠ in Košice, where the first center of assisted reproduction in Slovakia was founded. Here she defended her PhD in 2004 and in 2011 she received a habilitation in Gynecology and obstetrics. In 2003, at the Slovak Medical University in Bratislava, she completed the first-degree board certification in the field of gynecology and obstetrics. She worked as a registrar and later as a fellow at II. Clinic of Gynecology and Obstetrics of the Faculty of Medicine at UPJŠ and Louis Pasteur University Hospital in Košice, where she headed the Center for Assisted Reproduction until 2013. In 2007 she graduated as a specialist consultant from the Slovak Medical University in Bratislava with a specialized board certification in gynecology and obstetrics, and in 2012 she passed a graduation exam in reproductive medicine at the Institute for Postgraduate Healthcare Education in Prague. Subsequently, she worked as Medical Director and professional supervisor at the Infertility Clinic SPLN in Košice until 2016. She is the author and co-author of a number of professional monographs, university scripts and textbooks as well as professional scientific articles, and also a coautor of two patent
