Assoc. Prof. Veronika Vargová, MD, PhD. is an Associate Professor of Paediatrics and the head of the Department of Paediatrics and Adolescents Medicine at the Medical Faculty of Pavol Jozef Šafárik University in Košice. She is a member of the Board of study program General medicine. She is a guarantor of a specialized study in the field of Paediatric Rheumatology and co-guarantor of a specialized study in the field of Paediatrics. She was a supervisor of 2 successfully defended doctoral theses in the Paediatrics study program and of 13 diploma theses. She is engaged in research particularly in clinical research in the field of Paediatric Rheumatology. She is the author and/or co-author of 104 original scientific (19 CC, WoS or Scopus) and research papers published in foreign and domestic journals, textbooks, books and monographs, which were cited 182 times, of which 158 times in the WoS / Scopus citation indexes.
