Martin Vicen MD. graduated from general medicine in 2013 at Faculty of Medicine, PJ Safarik University in Kosice. Since 2013 he has been working as a resident and since 2019 also as a researcher at the Department of Musculosceletal and Sports Medicine, Hospital Agel Kosice-Saca. In 2020 he became a PhD student at University Medical Centre Groningen, University of Groningen, The Netherlands. He carries out research on biobehavioural and psychosocial aspects of functional status and quality of life in osteoarthritis patients. This research is a collaboration with the Department of Social and Behavioural Medicine, Faculty of Medicine, PJ Safarik University. His research interests are the quality of life in patients with osteoarthritis, behavioural and psychosocial factors, arthroplasty, patient’s expectations , return to work / sport after arthroplasty, comorbidities. In medical practise, he is focused on foot and ankle sugery , arthroplasty and sports medicine. He is also a sports doctor ( mens national handball team, local football and hockey team).
