Dr. Zuzana Badovská currently works as a research specialist at the Department of Medical and Clinical Biochemistry, Faculty of Medicine, Pavol Jozef Safarik University in Kosice, Slovakia. Her area of expertise is focused on infertility and gynecological malignancies such as endometriosis and endometrial cancer. After completing her bachelor's degree (2015) in the field of chemistry at the Faculty of Natural Sciences of the UPJS in Kosice, she continued her master's degree in biochemistry at the Faculty of Natural Sciences of the Comenius University in Bratislava, Slovakia (2017). During her PhD studies (2019-2023) at the UPJS Faculty of Medicine in Košice, she gained a lot of experience in the field of female reproduction. Further enhancing her expertise, she spent six months conducting research in the laboratory of Prof. Graier at the Medical University of Graz, Austria during her PhD studies. Here, her work centered on exploring the impact of complex compounds containing bio-metals on metabolic pathways in endometriosis. In February 2023, she successfully defended her rigorous thesis and in August 2023 her dissertation that was focused on the study of small non-coding RNA molecules from spent blastocyst media in relation to predict high-quality embryos and implantation potential. Currently, she is the author and co-author of scientific works registered in the WoS or Scopus databases.
