My research focuses on the interactions between the gut microbiome, the immune system, and experimental therapeutics. I am particularly interested in exploring ways to modulate immunity through fermented diets, probiotics, and fecal microbiota transplantation (FMT). I analyze the use of FMT as a potential therapeutic strategy for ulcerative colitis and autism spectrum disorders, with an emphasis on its effects on both intestinal and systemic inflammation. In cancer models, I investigate the effects of probiotics, melatonin, resveratrol, and natural immunomodulators (e.g., Immodin, manumycin A) on enhancing anti-tumor immune responses. My applied research opens new therapeutic opportunities in immunology, oncology, and gastroenterology, with potential applications in both human and veterinary medicine.
