The contents of the habilitation and inauguration field Non-Slavic languages and literatures is delimited by the study of the English language, Anglophone literature and culture at various levels ranging from general theories and research methods to those pertaining to specific areas of research into language, literature, and culture. The study also employs interdisciplinary knowledge, mainly from psycholinguistics, sociolinguistics, cognitive sciences, intercultural and mass-media communication, and the knowledge of the related fields of science, such as philosophy, psychology, sociology, and semiotics.

The contents of the habilitation and inauguration field Non-Slavic languages and literatures is delimited by linguistic, literary, and culture-oriented disciplines, including general linguistics, phonetics and phonology, morphology, word-formation, lexicology, syntax, stylistics, psycholinguistics, sociolinguistics, corpus linguistics, cognitive linguistics, typology and language universals, history of English, 20th-century literary science and criticism, history of Anglophone literatures, US and UK history, British and American culture, multiculturalism and literature, mass-media discourse analysis, and intercultural communication, as well as by the knowledge of the related fields of science, such as philosophy, psychology, sociology, and semiotics.
