The field of Habilitation and Inauguration procedure in Medical Pharmacology is defined by the study of the fate and the mechanisms of action of drugs in humans at various levels of their organization (e.g. molecule, cell, tissue, organ, patient) with application for use in experimental and clinical pharmacotherapy of diseases. It is based on knowledge of medical pharmacology, experimental and clinical pharmacology and various controled clinical trials (multicentric, double-blinded...) and related medical disciplines and laboratory medicine, which are relevant in relation to medical pharmacology as an integrated whole.

The field of Habilitation and Inauguration procedure in Medical Pharmacology is defined by pharmacological and medical disciplines such as medical anatomy, clinical biochemistry, physiology, pathology, molecular biology and human genetics, general medicine, as well as related medical and healthcare sciences.
