· The quality of the PMd study program was discussed within the meeting of the Study Program Board, held on September 10, 2021 in the premises of PF UPJŠ in Košice.
· The opinion of the employers' representatives is part of the Minutes of the RŠP meeting of 10.9.2021, while the specific comments and suggestions were as follows:
Ing. Miloš Predmerský, CSc., USSKE Košice - appreciated the guarantee of a very solid physico-chemical content provided by the study program. The nominee stated that he fully supports the implementation of the study program, which is a guarantee that the graduate will work successfully in the development of materials exactly according to the customer's needs, which is highly appreciated at USSKE. A concrete example is the introduction of a new class of materials for electric motors, which USSKE proposed, where comprehensive knowledge of losses and detailed physico-chemical processes enabled the development of progressive motors. Graduates of the Progressive Materials School are able to solve such challenging tasks. Doc.
RNDr. Pavol Hrizdoš, CSc., Director of UMV SAS Košice - emphasized that the SP provides space for a wide profiling of graduates of doctoral studies in the field of materials sciences, who are also employees of UMV SAS Košice. RNDr.
Peter Spišák, CSc., BSH Michalovce - stated that even from previous experience, ŠP Progressive Materials prepares graduates for practice who are not only proficient in basic processes, but above all know how to understand the relationships between individual quantities and parameters, which from a practical point of view UPJŠ graduates in comparison with graduates of technical universities, usable more for analytical positions for practice.
· The creation of study plans at UPJŠ is governed by the provisions of the Study Regulations for doctoral studies and which defines the student's workload, evaluation, control stages of study, method of graduation and other requirements. They define the responsibility for the content of the study and for the correct course of the quality evaluation
