Obtained practical skills allow graduates to apply in the positions of data scientists or data analysts. In addition to employment in IT companies, other companies such as RWE, U. S. Steel, Holcim have already expressed interest in employing graduates. These already employ PF UPJŠ graduates who have completed similar or related study programs in the past. Due to the very good reputation of PF UPJŠ graduates, there is no doubt about their future employment. Another possibility for the employment of graduates of the study program is able within the scientific research teams in the field of bionformatics, progressive materials, biomedicine, nuclear physics. In the Košice region, potential employers are LF UPJŠ, UVLF, UVP Medipark, Slovak Academy of Sciences and others. Demand for graduates of such a study program is also in the state and public administration, banking and insurance sectors, marketing companies.
ADUIb – Data Analysis and Artificial Intelligence Study Program is realized in accordance with International Standards Computing Curricula 2020 - Paradigms for Global Computing Education, which are formed by two international organizations Association for Computing Machinery and IEEE.
The study program is related with document Curriculum Guidelines for Undergraduate Programs in Data Science. Other subjects focused on the use of optimization methods, machine learning, prediction creation, advanced programming techniques, design of intelligent algorithms form the basic pillars for the development of artificial intelligence.

The first graduates of the new study program ADUIb - Data Analysis and Artificial Intelligence will complete their studies in the academic year 2022/2023. However, several graduates who have studied at our university in related study programs are already working in the positions of data analysts and data scientists in IT companies.
Based on external evaluations (e.g. uplatnenie.sk), 100% of graduates will be employed either as an employee in an IT company, self-employed person or they are continuing their studies at a higher level.
Our findings are in the accordance with opinions of representatives of IT companies associated in Košice IT Valley, IT Asociation of Slovakia and Digital Coalition, with which the Institute of Computer Science, Faculty of Science, UPJŠ cooperates. UPJŠ also obtains further information through the Civic Association Scientist and the Alumni Space Club and the Career Club, which is led by UNIPOC UPJŠ.
The demand for graduates of the study program is evidenced by the offer of vacancies on specialized portals, e.g. profesia.sk and analyzes of trade unions.
Due to the acquired knowledge and skills in the field of data analysis and artificial intelligence, graduates of this study program are applied in both the public and private sectors. They will also use the acquired knowledge and skills as valid developers, able to effectively solve problems and quickly adapt to new technologies. We assume that most graduates will continue in the master's degree program ADUIm - Data Analysis and Artificial Intelligence.

The complete current rules of the admission procedure for the bachelor study program ADUIb - Data Analysis and Artificial Intelligence is published on a specialized web page PF UPJŠ.
Examples of rules for the academic year 2022/23 are documents: https://www.upjs.sk/public/media/2453/prij_konanie_PFUPJS_22_23_Bc.pdf
The criteria for the admission procedure are based on the applicant's studies at the secondary school. The admission procedure also takes into account the applicant's involvement in various extracurricular activities related to the Informatics department.
The condition for inclusion in the admission procedure for the bachelor's degree at PF UPJŠ is the successful completion of the Matura exam in at least one of the subjects Mathematics and Informatics. An alternative to the matriculation examination in mathematics is to pass an examination in mathematics carried out by an authorized external assessor (https://www.scio.sk/nps/matematika.asp).
An alternative to the school-leaving examination in any of the above subjects for Ukrainian applicants for full-time study with the Slovak language of instruction is to pass an examination in the relevant subject assessed by an external independent assessor (http://osvita.ua/test/).
Based on the decision of the admissions committee, a content-related graduation examination from vocational subjects at a secondary vocational school may also be recognized as an equivalent replacement to the required school-leaving examination subject.
Prerequisites for admission and successful completion of the study ADUIb - Data Analysis and Artificial Intelligence are:
The principles of the admission procedure at UPJŠ define the basic legislative starting points and general principles according to which a reliable, fair and transparent admission procedure for study programs carried out at UPJŠ in I., II., Connected I. and II. and in III. higher education level. Information on the admission procedure at UPJŠ is published on the website:
https://www.upjs.sk/zaujemcovia-o-studium/
https://www.upjs.sk/univerzita/kvalita/programy/#4
Detailed conditions regarding admission to individual study programs at the faculty are published on the website:
https://www.upjs.sk/prirodovedecka-fakulta/informacie-pre-zaujemcov-o-studium/
In justified cases, the admission procedure takes place in the form of a written test, the aim of which is to verify the applicant's knowledge at the bachelor's degree level. Applicants who are required to take the entrance test will be notified in good time of the areas to be covered by the test.
The admission procedure takes place with the support of the Academic Information System AiS2 and the entire admission procedure can be carried out in a fully electronic format. UPJŠ has long been one of the pioneers in the implementation of electronic services and in cooperation with Disig and ÚPVS has already implemented several projects in this area and has a direct link to the portal www.slovensko.sk.
A detailed structured analysis of the admission procedure is published on the UPJŠ website in Košice.
In the academic years 2020/21 and 2021/22, the quantitative parameters of the admission procedure for the ADUIb bachelor's study program were in the structure Academic year - Planned number - Number of applicants - Accepted applicants - Enrolled applicants
as follow:
2020/21: 20 -? -? - 9
2021/22: 20 -? -? - 8
It can be seen from the statistics that the capacity of the study program is much higher than the number of applicants.
Strict criteria are applied when admitting applicants to a bachelor's degree, so that the admitted applicants have a real chance to complete the study program. Therefore, the admission rate is slightly below 50%. Long-term statistics also show that applicants for the ADUIb study program usually submit more alternative applications to universities and choose one of the alternatives according to the results of the admission procedure.
Overall, it can be stated that the demand for graduates of the study program Data Analysis and Artificial Intelligence is higher than the interest in studying. The capacity of the study program is also higher.
Information on the process of monitoring and evaluating student satisfaction at the university is published at: https://www.upjs.sk/univerzita/kvalita/programy/#10.
Quality indicators and results of quality monitoring at UPJŠ and its components are publicly available at:
https://www.upjs.sk/univerzita/kvalita/indikatory/.
In addition to the official procedures applied at the university, the Institute of Mathematical Sciences and the Institute of Informatics also use other possibilities to obtain feedback. These are either individual surveys organized by teachers or discussions within events such as the Summer School of Networking or the Summer School of Cybercrime. In addition to official channels, students receive information about the implemented measures also during informal meetings, such as Informatics, Mathematics Night and others.
